Consumer Price Indices: October 2010

The year - on - year headline inflation for the month of October 2010 continues the slide that began in April this year registering 6.7 percent which represents 0.3 percentage points drop on the month before. The urban and rural rates are 8.4 percent and 5.8 percent respectively.

Food inflation has continued to go down though at a decelerating rate registering a drop of 0.3 percentage points on the previous month. Non-food inflation has remained fairly stable at 10.0 percent.
